Italian Wine: Online Sale. Negramaro.

Negroamaro wine, also known as Niuru Maru, Nero Leccese or Nicra Amaro is a wine known by different names, but with a unique soul. The scent of Negroamaro recalls the sunny lands of Salento and its inimitable flavor makes it a wine that is appreciated throughout our country and also abroad. Characteristic of this wine is the ability to have a full and dry flavor and a slightly bitter aftertaste, but at the same time a velvety, fruity, harmonious and round flavor.

 Negramaro tasting notes and characteristics.

Negroamaro wine has an intense ruby-dark garnet red color, with almost black reflections. In detail we can say that Negroamaro wine, since it is characterized by a moderate content of coloring substances, has shades of an intense ruby red with poor transparency, sometimes impenetrable, with a marked tendency to turn, with aging, towards shades more bricks. Its scent is fruity and intense, sometimes with light hints of tobacco and carob and even vanilla notes or light balsamic sensations of menthol. As for the taste, the Negroamaro wine has a good structure, it is warm and soft with a discreet tannic texture, often wisely softened by wooden containers.

Negramaro Food pairings.

Negroamaro is an excellent wine to combine with any meal and goes well with all dishes that are typical of the Salento gastronomic tradition. Examples of combinations are those with meatballs in sauce, with grilled meat, especially with lamb, with pieces of horse in sauce, with homemade pasta such as for example with sagne ‘ncannulate, with soup chickpeas or with gnomerelli which are traditional rolls made with offal.

Characteristics of Negroamaro wine.

If you want to better appreciate the characteristics of Negroamaro wine, it is advisable to serve it in special red wine glasses at a temperature of about 15 or 16 ° C. Today the name “Chianti” is a guarantee of noble wine, produced according to strict laws that they protect the quality standard and with it the sensory characteristics.

Italian Wine: Online Sale.Chianti.

Chianti Docg is produced in the heart of Tuscany, in the area between the provinces of Arezzo, Florence, Pisa, Pistoia, Prato and Siena. These are hilly areas with large terraces and valleys crossed by rivers. This territory has been producing wine since the time of the Etruscans but only in 1800 did it obtain the Denomination of Controlled Origin – DOC. When the Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin – DOCG was introduced in 1967, the Chianti designation was integrated with specific crops:

Arezzo hills
Florentine Hills
Sienese hills
Pisan hills
Montalbano
Rufina
Montespertoli

Chianti. What to know?

Each is produced in a specific production sub-area and each is regulated by a different specification. Chianti Classico, on the other hand, very different from Chianti and its sub-areas, is a separate DOCG denomination and is subject to a more rigid disciplinary which strictly regulates its production. All Chiantis are made up of the same vines: Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Trebbiano, white Malvasia, Sauvignon and Merlot. The percentage of grapes, on the other hand, can change from wine to wine.

The undisputed protagonist.

The undisputed protagonist, however, is always Sangiovese, which can be vinified alone or in variable quantities up to a minimum of 75%. Chianti has a ruby red color tending to garnet with aging, a harmonious, dry and slightly tannic flavor, a vinous aroma with a hint of violet. Chianti can be drunk young or aged: in the first case, it goes particularly well with grilled red meats, while the Riserva, more full-bodied and complex, is perfect with game and aged cheeses. To get to know the excellence of Chianti and savor all the taste of Italy’s most famous red, choose a food and wine themed holiday in Chianti!
